WELCOME TO SKC TUTORING
Success coaches and DAS staff may refer students for tutoring services to help supplement in class learning and homework. Tutoring support services are available in different locations.
SKC Tutoring Options
SKC Writing Center
Visit the Michel building Room 103 for tutoring. For more information and office hours, visit the Writing Center website HERE. You may also access the Writing Lab by email: writingtutors@skc.edu with the following:
- Class name
- What you would like help with
For example: a specific assignment, a scholarship essay, writing a proposal, thesis statement, etc.
Tutors give feedback on your drafted writing assignments. They can help with any component of the writing process, from idea formulation to a final draft. They can help with thesis statements, outlines, citations, organization, sentence and paragraph construction, and word choice. Tutors are familiar with the writing assignments and instructor expectations for Comp I, Comp II, Writing Research Papers, and Nursing, but can help with all written work.
SKC Math/Science Lab
Visit the Beaverhead building Room 109 for tutoring in math and many sciences. For more information and office hours, visit the SEM lab website HERE.

For example: a specific assignment, test preparation, etc.
When available, the Online Math/Science Lab provides similar services like those offered at the campus lab. Students will be able to meet with tutors, discuss problems, ask questions, and get instruction. Since this is a virtual lab, some services may be dependent on the student’s technology and connection.
